Bellissimo - our kennels
Belissimo Bostons is located on Hokio Sand Road, just outside of Levin - on the lower North Island of New Zealand and just over one hour’s drive from the Capital, Wellington.
In Italian, the name "Bellissimo" means "beautiful" and we strive to make our dogs live up to the name. Bellissimo Bostons has sourced dogs and bitches from champion lines from the United States and Australia to bring new blood to the already existing families of Boston Terriers in New Zealand.
We successfully exhibit dogs at NZKC shows and the Bellissimo name is gaining recognition with dogs winning in breed and group events.
And it is not just show dogs...pet Bostons from Bellissimo are the pride and joy of many families right around New Zealand, In Australia, in New Caledonia and in Fiji.

Owner
Carol Wallington is a leading breeder and exhibitor of Boston Terriers in New Zealand. Carol has been associated with the breed for more than 30 years. Carol owned her first Boston Terriers in Tasmania in the late 1970’s and those dogs moved to New Zealand with her and her family more than 30 years ago. The original "migrant" Bostons (Snuffy and Winston) lived to ripe old ages (17 and 15 years).
Carol had a successful career as a chef, restaurateur, Café and Restaurant Proprietor, Catering Manager and Hospitality industry trainer and business consultant in Australia and New Zealand. When she retired from the kitchen, Carol at last had the time to devote showing and breeding her beloved Boston Terriers. Carol loves to see the progress of her dogs and receives many virtual updates on social media and the occasional face to face reunion.
